Over the last years the field of Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) has been revitalized with new basic and clinical studies that provide better insight into the understanding of the variability of clinical presentation, the role of the Von Willebrand factor gene in the disease and new tools to determine clinical phenotypes and risk for bleeding. The symposia will provide a state of the art update on the diagnosis, evaluation and management of VWD.
